Yesterday, dear friends, for the first time since leaving Vienna I threw out some press releases to draw a little attention to the new newspaper. Because I was thrown out of my shoes when we left Vienna.

Because someone asked me once. No, the departure was not planned. And I still see myself today more as a philosopher than as a theologian.

We only came back to Vienna after an 8-month mission tour and found out that a curator had been appointed in our absence. We would have been gone too long. Otherwise I would probably never have given up politics.

The only problem in Austria is that there are no homeless shelters for married couples. In other words, my wife would have gone to one home and I to another. And I didn’t want to give Austrian politics that satisfaction. Even if it was a deliberate attack on old Austria.

As the Bible says so beautifully: Where they don’t want you, turn around, wipe your shoes and leave.
