The fruit thing!
In all seriousness, someone once again accused me today, dear friends, that I would not bear any fruit. Because I only write books. And newspapers. But I don’t create communities myself.
And I answered him with the question about Paul’s fruit:
The point is, in the eyes of these brothers and sisters, Paul of Tarsus never produced fruit either.
Paul of Tarsus never led a church. And he preferred to leave social work to widows and deacons.
apostolic 6:1 But in those days, as the number of the disciples increased, there was a murmuring among the Greek Jews in the congregation against the Hebrew, because their widows were neglected in the daily sustenance. 2 Then the twelve called the multitude of disciples together and said, It is not right that we should neglect the word of God and serve at table. 3 Therefore, brethren, look around you in your midst for seven men of good reputation, full of the Spirit and wisdom, whom we will appoint to this ministry. 4 But let us remain wholly in prayer and in the ministry of the Word. 5 And the speech pleased the whole multitude; and they chose Stephen, a man full of faith and the Holy Spirit, and Philip, and Prochorus, and Nicanor, and Timon, and Parmenas, and Nicholas the proselyte of Antioch. 6 These they set before the apostles; they prayed and laid hands on them. 7 And the word of God spread, and the number of the disciples increased greatly in Jerusalem. Many priests also became obedient to the faith.
